Cookie Policy
A cookie is an information package consisting of numbers and letters that does not contain personal information and is sent by our websites (including, but not limited to: skoll.hu, iatf.hu, or any website under the skoll.hu domain and its subdomains) to your browser in order to save configuration information, simplify the use of the websites, and help us collect statistical information about visitors to the sites. Cookies are not suitable for identifying individual users and do not contain personal data. After the website is closed, cookies are either deleted or stored by the user’s browser for a longer period of time. Cookies often also contain a unique identifier.
Cookies can be disabled, and files related to your previous visits can be deleted. This can be done differently in each browser. You can read more about this here for: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Edge.
We run web analytics software on skoll.hu, namely Google Analytics operated by Google Inc. (“Google”), which automatically places small data files, in certain cases containing visitors’ personal data, on users’ computers. We notify users of this and request their approval when they first visit the site. The data files are necessary for the operation of certain website functions, and information derived from previous data files received during visits is transferred to the operator. You can read more about the exact names (_ga, _gat, _gid) and functions of these data files here. Google Analytics stores the IP address received through the browser in anonymized form and cannot link it to the user. The data are retained for 14 months, and this retention period restarts if a new event occurs in relation to the user (e.g. the user starts a new session). If you would like to prevent Google Analytics from adding your visit to analytics on any website, please use this add-on (available for any browser).
Google also uses cookies that serve to link the user’s activities across different devices if the user has previously signed in to their Google Account on those devices. Google does this in order to coordinate the ads shown to the user across devices and to measure conversion events. If you do not want Google ads to be shown to you in a coordinated manner across your devices, you can turn off ad personalization using Ad Settings.
Our sites may also use the services of third-party advertisers (e.g. Google, Facebook, LinkedIn) for the purpose of delivering advertisements and optimizing our marketing communication. Third-party advertisers may use cookies to measure the effectiveness of advertisements and to personalize advertising content. The information collected by third-party advertisers may include, for example, geolocation data determined on the basis of the IP address or contact details such as an e-mail address.
On our moodle.skoll.hu site, we use temporary (session) cookies, which are stored until the end of your browsing session, until the browser is closed. These cookies are essential for the proper operation of certain site functions or applications.
You can find detailed information about the cookies used by our sites in the notices displayed on the respective site.
If you have any questions or requests regarding this policy, or if you request any further information concerning the data collected on the website, please contact us through one of the contact details below.
